A service for Shona will be held at South Taranaki Funeral Services at 268 High Street Hawera.
On Thursday 27th November 2025, commencing at 1.00 pm.
Followed by a gathering at South Taranaki RSA.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Ara Pae Trust would be appreciated and can be left at the service. These donations go towards supporting mental health wellness in our community.

Hi Danny,
I was so very sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. I didn’t have the chance to know her personally, but I know how much she meant to you, and my heart goes out to you and the whole family as you face this heartbreaking time together.
After losing Rodney, I understand some of the shock and the deep ache that comes with a loss like this. Grief can feel heavy and unpredictable, but please know you’re not carrying it on your own — your family is here, and I’m here too, in whatever way you might need.
Your love for her doesn’t disappear. It stays with you all — in your memories, in the stories you’ll share, and in the life you built together. Be gentle with yourselves in the days ahead. Lean on one another. Let others help hold the weight when you need a break from it.
